The shibori process is arashi shibori the cloth is wrapped around a pole and then dyed, with indigo. This gives rise to the striped, wave like pattern. To complete the design, the maker added floral and botanical motifs using katazome. A bold, graceful, and unique cotton kimono it is in excellent condition without stains or repairs.
