Species of wood include White Oak, Maple, White Ash, Black Walnut, Hickory, Cherry, Mahogany and a few dark ebonized stained pieces to give a piece a little contrast. The finish I used on this piece is Natural food grade finish, linseed oil and beeswax mix, this is what gives the piece a warm amber finish.
