Loneliness: Alone in a Crowd Home Care mental illnessCourse Description: Current research indicates that about half of older New Zealanders experience some level of loneliness, and 8 9% feel lonely all or most of the time. In this course, learners will explore the difference between loneliness, solitude and social isolation. The course describes the potential impacts on physical and psychological wellbeing and outlines approaches that learners can apply to respond to individual needs. Learning Outcomes:
