'Did we Just Become Best Friends?' Owl This was a personal favoriteDid we just become best friends? Yup! First morning view of Shenandoah NP. Woke a little late but had to get to an overlook for sunrise with clouds forecast the rest of our stay. The trail to Hawkbill Summit the tallest in the park was a great intro to hiking at Shenandoah. Less than a mile but literally STRAIGHT up (800 ft elevation gain). Made it just in time & man what a view. Not a human in sight!
