In 1994, Bruichladdich closed its doors, and the site was mothballed. Workers were laid off, but two remaining members of staff safeguarded the casks which continued to mature in the depths of the warehouses, before the distillery was restored in 2001. Bruichladdich Re Define 30 Year Old is an unpeated Islay single malt, aged for 30 years in handpicked, exceptionally rare ex Bourbon
