With the colors of the sunrise appearing just before the sun touched the horizon

I reached the trailhead before 5:00 am

composed the shot and began shooting this outstanding sunset at Wildflower Park in Northern Illinois

Males have an orange patch in the crown. These little birds are one of the smallest passerines in North America, foraging in trees and shrubs for insects. (521 21)
