The design is inspired by the iconic Acanthus leaf engravings found on historic Iona stone carvings, dating back to medieval times. This pattern was also widely used as a decorative element by Alexander & Euphemia Ritchie. The Ritchies' own beloved heart pattern is featured here in person, thanks to digital 3D scanning technology,
