In the top of the signal lamp case was a Pyrometer which had a bi metallic switch, when lit the switch expanded, if the lamp went out the switch would cool breaking the circuit. The indicator flag would show lamp out and a bell would ring. This example is much rare as it repeated 2 signal lamps hence
