Spring Solitude Birds Nature photography is a passionPrince Albert National Park, SK In order to get close enough for a good shot of this long eared owl I needed to cross a frozen pond. I checked the ice and it appeared secure. I managed to snap a couple of shots before hearing a crack and then, suddenly, I was knee deep in icy water! The owl was the only witness to my mishap as I quickly scrambled to dry ground.
