I wanted the look of old distressed wooden boardwalk pier with those old wooden bollards to give it the visual feel of a pier or wharf. Evoking for me a memory of the crunch of discarded mussel shells on the wooden boards, scavenged off the bollards at low tide, and to marry this look with the softness of baroque pearls the colour of white seafoam after a
