The pivot base replaces one leg of the pivot hinge (the non door leg) to allow an easier installation if installing in concrete, marble, stone or any other material where a 3 4" hole is desired. Pivot base measures approximately 1. 25" in height by 1" in diameter at the top and 3 4" in diameter at the bottom.
