Victorian Shark Tooth Necklace art deco with loop at the topAn unusual and remarkable and particularly striking antique necklace adorned with six shark teeth. The construction is interesting, verging on crude, with thin strips of silver having been wrapped around the root of each tooth, conforming to its rough shape. The six teeth are suspended from a simple belcher link chain which fastens with a bolt ring clasp and it dates from the Victorian period, circa 1900. The teeth may be from a lemon shark. Era:
