Musky blackcurrant, licorice and smoky oak on the nose; I might have guessed that this was Cabernet. Smooth, pliant and sweet, with tobacco and smoky oak flavors dominating. A round, slightly reduced wine of moderate intensity and depth and less verve than the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva but easygoing, nicely balanced and attractive.
