but these are either WWII or immediate postwar

There is a hole in the bottom and one of the hooks has ripped or been cut off at the webbing. The hook is included but you might have to get creative to sew it back on. It is a well used and worn ruck with a fair amount of fading. This is a good reenactor grade rucksack. Fix it, use it, enjoy it.
