the brush heads on the other hand are virtually impossibly to find in even remotely decent condition

It is in usable condition with a small crack near one of the screw holes

Greif made a number of office products; this ashtray is specifically advertising carbon copy paper and ink refills, although we frequently find typewriter ribbon tins from this company. It is a little dirty with some wear but still rather usable. This was ground dug from somewhere in the east which is where some of the residual dirt probably comes from. Items like this did make it to the front
