They were clearly based on period watches but are generally a bit larger than the original would have been

The strap is marked REP 41 in several places

1937 Pelikan Bakelite Typewriter Ribbon Container Matt It is marked BruyereOriginal Bakelite Pelikan brand typewriter sales container. The logo with a Pelikan feeding only 2 wee ones came out in 1937 and was used into the postwar era. This could be wartime or post war, there is no possible way to distinguish. Fairly good condition with some wear to the gold color. The advertisement is from Signal magazine April 1 1943.
