The family settled in Chteau Chalon in 1850 and is now in its seventh generation through Laurent Macle, who farms 12 hectares eight of Chardonnay in the Ctes du Jura and four of Savagnin in Chteau Chalon with his father Jean. The classic Macle Ctes du Jura blend of around 85% Chardonnay and 15% Savagnin, grown on Jurassic limestone
