Old Sailors Haven, 1939 Blaire Field I wish my mother wereA California fine art gicle print on premium watercolor paper. One of the picturesque buildings still found in New York's harbor area in the 1930's. It seemed to be a meeting place for Merchant Marine Sailors that were either too old or too injured to sail again. Here they would spend their days trading stories and reliving the past. Shown in a one man show at the Jake Zeitlin Galleries 1940 and the Biltmore Art Galleries in 1945. Courtesy of son Ian
