Salmiak is salty liquorice a variety of liquorice flavored with ammonium chloride, common in Northern Germany as well as in Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Salmiak is still being made, so the tin could even be refilled (and the modern ones still have the same diamond shape that these did). The tin is in OK condition with some wear and light dents. There is some rust spots.
