Economy German Blankets artillery the hem has come undoneEconomy German wool blankets. They are gray with a bit of a reddish hue; color may vary slightly from piece to piece. The material is a wool synthetic blend. They are post war surplus with reproduction German stamped markings and our reproduction moth protection tag sewn in. The blankets were surprisingly close to a plain original in my collection. The standard German blanket has a red and blue stripe, but plain blankets were also used (see photo with
