I have another example of this lamp on my desk at home which retains most of its original panzer gray paint which is one reason I feel confident in advertising this as an actual Wehrmacht desk lamp

probably to make it more functional as a box

This is exactly how the helmet would have looked when it left the factory (the only exception is that we have included a chin strap for convenience)
