世界的に熱い支持を受けるアニメーション『エヴァンゲリオン』とG-SHOCKのコラボレーションモデルです。TVシリーズ放映30周年の節目に、エヴァンゲリオンシリーズでメカニックデザインを担当している山下いくと氏に本モデルのデザインを依頼。G-SHOCK全体にエヴァンゲリオン初号機が描かれ、12時側のバンドには初号機の頭部装備である角、ベゼル部分には初号機の顔、ベゼル下部から6時側のバンドにかけてはロンギヌスの槍を投擲しようとする左腕がデザインされています。9時位置のインダイアル針に使徒のモチーフを採用し、文字板を分割させるＹ字型のパーツは作中で印象的なCAUTIONパターンをデザイン。遊環の「NEON GENESIS」、バンド先端のNERVロゴ、裏蓋の30周年記念ロゴなど細部に至るまでエヴァンゲリオンの世界観を表現しました。スペシャルパッケージと合わせ特別仕様に仕上げました。
