Contemporary was taken in infrared lightUp early on a chilly February morning for a wonder around the Dinorwic slate quarries in Llanberis, Wales, the light was not promising, overcast and dull, then suddenly the sun appeared and immediately highlighted all the amazing colours, textures and shapes on the quarry face in addition making a feature of the the skeletal trees clinging for life on a narrow ledge near the top of the quarry.
