Shoes of this design were produced for several decades both before, during and after the war. This pair has no distinctly post war markings, so is most likely 1940's or older. The box may not belong to the shoes but they were inside it when we found them. The sole of the shoes is marked 42 but the box says 8 1 2 (English looking sizes were
