There is a patch of colour variation across the ground which is a producf of how the light falls on the pile and is more visible from some angles than others

Namdar runner some loss to the wovenA mid 20th century all wool Afghan carpet. A charming little lead seal at one end would have been attached when it was first sold (see photo this can easily be cut off if wished). Large guls in dark blue and black pattern on a ground of maroon and dark red. The overall effect is rich and subtle. Medium pile with striped woven ends. Small patches of wear scattered over the ground and some slight loss to fringes but otherwise good condition. Video here
