It is a rigid construction. It has a lock on the top, but the key is missing (it still closes properly, just can't lock anymore). It also has metal clasps to keep it closed tightly (so it can't accidentally pop open). Decent usable shape, but it is a little dusty and rough around the edges and the handle shows some wear.
