the outside is nice with a working latch and both carrying strap loops are intact

This style of cup started showing up as early as 1941 (this is the earliest date we have found

Pre-War Dunlop Atlas of Germany mortar Waist - 25 1/2" -Pre war Dunlop atlas of Germany. It's original price was 1. 50 Reichsmarks. It is definitely pre war as it lists Austria as a separate country. The atlas shows wear and tear there are several rips on the cover and on some of the maps themselves. There is a small chunk missing on the bottom of the spine. The top corner has almost completely torn off. There are a few stains in places. Someone made pen marks on several of the maps.
