Instruments are not something I know a great deal about as far as dating them goes, but this certainly seems prewar. The cloth pouch shares a lot of similarities with other items from the 1920s 1930s. It seem to be in good working condition although I do not recall my elementary school days well enough to produce a recognizable tune. The mouthpiece has some wear, perhaps gnawed on by some HJ kid.
