Parvati vintage colourful miniature Hamadan from theA very pretty and also sophisticated Kashmiri rug of the 1950s. The ivory cartouche shape field has a pale blue centre medallion and spandrels. Dense and elaborate patterning of flower, foliage and vines. Ivory palmette and floral main border; pale blue guards. Robust handle and good condition. The rug is finely woven, producing a dense pile with a slight lustre that is also quite light sensitive. 240 x 142 cm
