If you are one to carry all your kit on field trips then I can confirm that it is comfortable to wear all day, yes, despite my aversion to this I di give it a go for this review, plus the more I think about it the more I am contemplating using this to carry one of my 4x5 field cameras, it is big enough and ergonomically a lot easier to carry than the case the camera is currently in
