Some Centaure pinion gear tubes have a hole between the gear teeth and the leading flange in which a small Phillips screwdriver, etc., can be inserted to prevent the pinion from rotating but it's been awhile since I've worked on one and I can't remember if the Pacific's pinion has that hole, or not
